An Iranian couple Ranaa (Taraneh Alidoosti) and Emad (Shahab Hosseini), are performers rehearsing for Arthur Miller's "Death of a Salesman". When their home is devastated by an earthquake, they are forced to move into a new apartment rented from one of their fellow performers. They are unaware of the fact that the previous tenant had been a woman of ill repute, having many clients. By a nasty turn of events, one of the clients pays a visit to the apartment one night while Ranaa is alone at home taking a bath and the aftermath turns the peaceful life of the couple upside down.
This new film by Academy Award winner Asghar Farhadi (A Separation, The Past, About Elly) is masterfully tense and emotionally complex examination of anger, guilt, fear and revenge, which stands proudly among his best work.
Winner of Best Foreign Language Film - Academy Awards, Best Actor and Best Screenplay Cannes Film Festival.

“And you thought Alfred Hitchcock was the master of suspense.”
Vicky Roach, Daily Telegraph
“Feel good is a word unlikely ever to find its way into Farhadi's vocabulary. But he does know a lot about truth and consequences and how to apply them to the anatomy of a marriage.”
Sandra Hall, Sydney Morning Herald
